flopped my truck, now it wont start
« on: Nov 22, 2011, 12:05:50 PM »
truck is a 1995 toyota with the 3vze 3.0l v6

so last night I flopped my truck on its side, within 2-3 seconds i turned the engine off. then within 10 mins the truck was back on all 4s.

then I let it sit over night, now today it wont start the engine wont turn over battery is charged.

I figured sitting over night would let all the oil go back into the pan.

what should I do now?

I'd pull the plugs out and then see if will crank. It might still have oil in the cylinders. Hopefully there isn't any damage from cranking it.

What side did it flop on?

If you did not clean out the air box you sucked more oil into the intake. If you look there is a hose from the PS valve cover that goes to the air cleaner and the DS side it goes into the intake tube right before the TB. Pull all the plugs and see if it cranks with a steady rhythm, if it is not steady you bent a rod  or crank.

If it was that full of oil I would think a new set of plugs will be in order as well.

ALWAYS pull your plugs and crank it over after a flop it will save you a ton of cash in engine repairs  :beerchug:
