I'm getting ready to do a 4wd conversion on an '87 pickup and need some advice on mounting the dual-cases. Since it is a 2wd, I will need to fabricate a new crossmember. I would like to use the 10 degree rotated adapter from Marlin to gain a little clearance under the rear case.
My question is what would be the best way to build the mount since the rear case mount is rotated?
I already have a 4xInnovations T-case mount, can I place this under the crawl box and leave the rear case "unsupported"? Should I put the mount under the rear case and build the crossmember to match the angled mount, or just buy an FROR style plate mount?
