Ok, so I'm starting to question the water temp gauge in the dash. It sits on cold for a while, and then it just goes up to the midway, where it should be. But there are times that I swear the heater is putting out some serious heat, like the water temp is way higher than what is showing on the gauge.
I'm thinking on getting one of these pillar pods.

Or will I need to drill and tap anything? So, a little quick online search on yotatech says to hook it into the t-stat housing for the turbo model, which is the housing I have. Hmmmmm!

I've never had to deal with after market gauges. Except for tachometers.
So, what is your experience with this? And what gauges to look into? I don't want to go expensive, just functional without looking like crap.
