I need a new one, i am looking at a mechanical autometer, can i just take the adaptor that comes with it and screw it in place of the oem one that is on the t-stat housing? if not could you tell me how.
I have tools to fix tools...break something i dare ya

You may want to check out  LCeng thay have a adapter that goes inline with the rad hose .

:imwithstupid: or you can drill/tap a new hole in the housing for the sender. I don't like leaving OEM wires hanging about.

Great advice for the fellow' Unc', under the intake plenum is a number of ports that can be utilized for temp. sensors
