Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

So I can put 5.71s on the same carier that had 3.90s stock?

oh your talking about the 'break' in ratio that you can put on a carrier . you can but you dont want to 5.71's are weak sauce

go with a 5.29 if ya offroad but if not just get 5.71
87 runner, 4" trailmaster lift, 33" TSL/SX, 5.29's V6 e-locker, 22re that cost too much

The 5.71's are more low than most people would need, the problem is that in order to create such a low gear ratio the ring gear gets reletively strong, however the pinion is very very small...leading ultimately to easy breakage. Some people say the 5.29's are even too weak, but I and many other people run them with 37's and larger. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info.  BTW I dont actually plan on running 5.71 gears, I just threw that out there for the sake of the conversation.
