your shackle angle won't be so shitty.
and you won't bottom out your shackle before your compression cycle is done.

i would wheel it first.. i know a few people who didnt move theres and its actually better in the end if your going for a low frame hieght and want flex because you'll have a lot of droop and not much uptravel which is nice. Also you can make bump stops so the shackles won't actually hit the frame when completely uptravel.

Yeah i am def gonna try it out first.

I was thinking i could also do a two piece shackle if that doesnt work out and it would "move" the top pivot point of the main shackle. I guess it looks worse in pics, there is a lot of room for it to up travel still, i treid to max out the suspension today, which was dumb because the stock front hangar is still there :(

we should have the plasma cutter back tmw so i can get rid of that then it will be play time :)

Still have to fix up the e brake and bleed the breaks alot better.

But the fact that it actually works is very good :) :)

What i do is just take a tape measure take the tires off measure from rotor to leaf, Lign the pitman arm straight and steering wheel straight make sure you are where you want everythign when its straight then adjust from there. Doing the Tie Rod you will just measure that both rotors are the same distance in the front on both sides and on the back aswell. I always go about an 1/8 inch closer to the spring in the front then the rear. For the drag link just get everything even then crank one way then the other and measure how far away the front rotor is from the spring on each side repeat and adjust untill they are even both turning left or right.

Got the alignment done!

And i got a bunch of pictures! Took my truck out memorial day weekend camping and busted the balljoint on the pitman arm and somehow sheared the nut off the end of it. Going to go to a flat pitman to fix this. Luckily electrical fence wiring holds things together well, but all in all a pretty sketchy fix.

My new pitman arm should be in tomorrow, while waiting i made an exhaust to replace the ghetto status straight pipe i had. Its really really quiet but i think i like it alot better! Oh yeah and i welded everything up except the muffler which i clamped so i can switch them out easily if i ever get bored :)

Here are lots of pics.

i'm trying to figure out what trucks actually had that stock though. i just looked at my friends 86 and 87 and neither of them seemed to have ever had that light there at all.
