Earth Hour - March 28, 2009
« on: Mar 10, 2009, 06:50:25 PM »
Anybody heard about this crap on tv or the radio?  In order to conserve energy, the greenies want everybody to turn off their lights and such for one hour on the 28th.  Call me crazy, but rather than have some feel good hour on one day, how bout everybody just be more conscious every day and make a real impact?  To me this is the equivelant of buying carbon credits so you can continue poluting on a large scale *cough* Al Gore *cough*

Yeah they did this last year too, if I remember correctly we started a turn on all your appliances thread to counter their stupidity with ours.

That's exactly what we did!

Well, that just makes too much sense to appeal to the wacky feel-good greenies....   :willynilly:

Personally, being an El-Cheapo, I conserve because I'd rather not waste my money.

And speaking of a particular former VP, don't even get me started on self-righteous blow-hard hypocritical egomaniacs

My lights and everything will be off at my house, but thats because I'm going camping.  Gonna go blow some stuff up, shoot some stuff, and have a big old bonfire out in the desert :gap:

For a real impact on power consumption it should be done during the day on the hottest day of the year...........
