Project Clyde: 1984 4Runner
« on: Sep 15, 2008, 08:39:48 AM »
BIO when I bought her:
1984 Toyota 4Runner
Stock Solid Front Axle
22R Engine
3" Lift with Leafs and Add-a-Leafs
Rough Country Shocks and Steering Stabilizer
31" Tires
Ugly Ugly Multi-tonal red
awesome purple tint ;)

Name: Clyde
You may wonder why "she" is named "Clyde". Well I am big into horses. Clydesdales are a tank of a horse. She is a tank of a truck. Therefore "Clyde".

Current Status:
35" Mud Terrains
Same suspension
Lock-Rite's front and rear
5.29 Gears
Cow-Camo Paint
SR5 Front seats
2nd Gen rear seats
Tint halfway off...
Fender liners removed

To Come:
EFI conversion
Alcan Springs w/ 5" of lift
IFS Rear Axle
Duralined Floor
Fix the rust in the floor of the cab & body
Interior or Exterior Cage (not sure which yet)
Long Travel Shocks
and who knows what else...

So what, you got tired of wheeling the FJ?

Looks like a good start and you are certainly heading in the right direction.

actually the FJ got tired of me wheeling it. It is currently un-driveable... oops... LOL

Serves me right for going out with the mentality I'm gonna do all the hard schtuff and break my truck huh?
Basically we (me and the bossman) wanted to redesign my rear suspension... and I couldn't fathom not having my FJ just to design a product LOL so I went out and wheeled the snot out of it and broke it so I cannot drive it. So now I am stuck not driving it anyways :)

Win/Win kinda? not really LMFAO

I'm  hoping to avoid that with my 4Runner. Thats why I'm trying to build as strong as I can.

So the top is camo for when you are out in the wild and the pink is urban camo?
