Topic: Shocks?

I need some for my 84 s/c short bed. Its my work truck that goes to the woods every day. Lots of wasboard and all the good stuff the big woods has to offer for driving conditions. Haul a load of fire wood once in a while. Have Pro Comp on it now.
So what should I go with

Get some Rancho RSX self adjusting shocks they will do great for you.

Yeah, for the price the 5125s are really nice, though the 5150s are sweet if you want to pay the extra $20 or so per shock. I have no complaints about my 5125s though.

i would use skyjacker platnum shocks with the built in bumpstops they are $80 per shock

I'm with DTB, with the Doestch Tech shocks.  The best shocks I've ever ran.  And good prices from the factory.

I've had Doestch shocks, I wasn't impressed, they're OK but nothing special.

I went all out on shocks because of the lead foot and went for the 7100 series and had bilstein valve them for my application and everything. worked out great and feels buttery smooth over the rough. would highly recommend them if you have the cash.

go with Doesch tech very good price and you order them for what you want great shocks for the price

I went with the Elcheepo rancho 5000 shocks for a ford f-250 they were onsale at shcucks got both for 60.00

I have Rancho 9000s and they are stiff as crap for my taste. The Bilsteins ride  way better.

Ok, my opinion

I've got friends that have run the Rancho's and I've run the Dusch Tech's. Neither, have any rebound. Neither are gas charged. They are oil filled. Which is why they both ran very rough. They don't dampen/control bumps they only slow the spring.

If you want a good highway shock and something that does well off road stay with the Bilsteins. My ride got softer with the Bilsteins than the Dusch Techs. Which was strange at the time because because the Dusch's were easy to compress by hand the the Bilsteins were harder than heck.
