IFS power steering box issue..
« on: Oct 05, 2008, 12:23:07 PM »
thought I would post this here too..  While playing in the sluice box over last weekend I thought I blew a power steering line..  Ended up being a plug in the box blew out..  looked like a machining plug.. Anyways I  made a new plug out of a old tcase interlock pin..  ground it down so it was a tight fit with a mushroom head on it..  Softly tapped it into the hole and ground it flush and welded it up..  Has this happened to anyone else?

There is a pressure relief 90* from this and from the pics we took of my buddys this was just a plug for the purposes of maching..  It seems to work well now..

first pic is the box after plug shot out, second is another box, third is after the repair
