85 toy changing from auto to stick

im planning on changing my 85 toy pickup from auto to 5spd. has anyone done it or have any suggestions?

Im planing on doing it also.  Its easiest if you have a donor 5spd cab so you can just transer everything over.  You will have to drill a hole for the clutch master cylinder plus you will obviously need all the lines, pedal assembly, slave cylinder and maybe a 5spd. ecu. Plus the big stuff ie: tranny/tcase.

I know you should change the ECM when you do it. will run better.

Auto and 5spd ECM's are diff.

My cousin just did this to his 86 4 Runner, you don`t need to change the computer, it will not affect the engine operation, my cousins truck runs just fine with the manual transmission in place of the outomatic. you just need to start gathering the needed parts and then plan on spending a weekend or longer getting everything put together.
