Big T the T100 / R151 to 3.4l swap
« on: Jul 12, 2007, 08:27:57 AM »
So last Friday i broke my ring and pinion on my T100 so I pulled the 3rd and dropped off at the drivetrain shop for new gears . In the mean time i thought i would do some maintenance and stuff so i rebuilt the snout on my S/C and riged up an intake and and and.......................... started to bobb 15" out of the bed   taking it from 77" (6ft 5in) to 62" (5ft 2"). I made the cuts so i would keep the end pockets so i can still have a place to attach straps and what not________
                                                                                                                                    l___      l
so the cuts look like this >             l     l
                                                                                                                                          l     l
                                                                                                                                          l     l
                                                                                                                                          l___l
I have pics of the progress and the gear carnage but i for got my camera at home. I will try to get them up tonight at home or on Friday, the 13th ooooooooh  :rofl2:

I will get some more pics this weekend. I am picking up my gears today  :driving: so i will have to take it out this week end for a little fun (NO burn outs). I all so just built a single traction bar for the rear axle and built a rear bumper. link to some pics form when BIG-T had the truck: http://board.marlincrawler.com/index.php?topic=34861.0

post some pics.......btw i miss my truck
(BIG-T built the Truck  )
when will you be back in the states? we will have to go wheelen, you will really miss it than. I found some of that good red Moab mud when i did the bobb.

That is sweet. Nice T100. Does it have an SAS? Looks like a slick ride, I love T100s

Yes its SAS'ed it was done by BIG-T, it has a 76 GM Dana44, Alcans on all four corners and 5150 shocks. Then truck rides like a dream BIG-T did an awesome job building it. All I have dune with the truck is Bobb the bed and add a traction bar and bumper, o and blow the rear end up :hammer:

Hey Josh,

I'll be back September 29th.  Paul and I are going to Moab for 3-4 days the first week of October, You should come with us. We can do a long weekend. Paul just put ARB's fornt and rear in the rover so it should be a lot fun. Plus you guys can make fun of my 33's and IFS

Moab would be sweet, we will see thats 15 days after my honey moon so i most likely would not be able to take off work but i might be able to make a weekend out of it. Maybe Kristi will come and bring her Tacoma so that way you wont be the only one with 33's and IFS  ARB's man thats awesome but its still just a rover  :rofl2:
