A couple of questions
« on: Jan 20, 2007, 11:47:38 AM »
First, where do all the hoses go from the auxilary air valve on an 80's 22re?  2nd, what gets connected to the small coolant tube right behind the thermostat housing?  Thanks

The truck is an 87.  I have no idea about any of the hoses that go to / from the auxiliary air valve.

Ok.  The auxiliary air valve sits right underneath the front of the intake manifold.  I don't know which hoses need to be hooked up and where they need to go from there.  It is the first pic.  The small coolant tube is about 5/8" and comes straight up from the intake manifold right behind the thermostat housing.  Is that some sort of bypass?  I dont know where that hose is supposed to go.  I have it plugged right now.

Thanks again

The coolant tube wraps under the t-stat housing & goes to a fitting just below the throttle position sensor.

Is that fitting on the throttle body?  If it is doen't that go through the throttle body and out another tube on the opposite side?  If so, where does that go?

It on the bottom side of the throttle body. You will have to use a mirror to see it or get under the truck.
