What he is saying is that without some modification, that bar won't protect you in a roll. it only bolts through the bed, and it'll just tear out.  Sometimes the tubing is strong enough, sometimes it isn't :dunno:  That being said, your best bet is to check out craigslist.  They've always got some stuff like that, and you can probably find one of those for $50

IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

If all you want to do with it is mount lights to it, don't waste your time with one of those!  Have a headache rack/cab guard made.  Uses very little space in the bed.  Or buy one of those light bars that clamps to your rain gutters above your doors!  Don't waste your time with those fake roll bars.  Buddy's of mine all bought them years ago and they took up soo much room out of your bed!

Or get a nice grill guard to hang lights off of!

You are probably still holding onto your old whitesnake, kiss, hank williams, and reo speedwagon tapes too!  I feel the same way!  One day your enjoying life with nothing to hold you down!  And one day you wake up going, "HOLY CRAP!  Where did these kids come from!"  "And who are you!"  "What do you mean we're MARRIED!"  :yikes:
