engine swaps on a fj 60
« on: Mar 03, 2006, 08:52:32 AM »
hey guys
got a line on an 87 fj 60 with a locked up motor.
225 thou miles, stright body no rust.
guy wants 1500 for it but i could maybe get it for less.
what kind of engine would be best to swap in this
thing. i'v got a good 350 sb. or would a chevy inline 6
or 4.3 v6 be the way to go?
 any ideas would be apprecated.

Buy it and put a 350 and Th350 tranny in it. I have a buddy that has one. The 350 motor is practically a bolt in swap from what I heard. It is pretty quick as well.
If you still have control you aren't going fast enough
