Hey Anthony,
I'd angle those sliders as well. Mine are angled and it seems like it gives me a little more protection and I just plain like the look. Blackdog's were flat mounted for the first couple rocks...  :yesnod:  Now they're angle mounted! But anyways, I thought they looked funny when they were flat.

they always look a little funny when you don't angle them. I made my own out of 1.5 schedule 80 pipe. I angled them by putting a 1" block of wood up against my running board put my pipe up next to it and welded it all together.

HOnke , Thank you for reading, I have learned alot from this build, i have never done anything like this before just minor mods . It really helped to have good quality parts from Marlin to get things going in the right direction. And alot of helpful information that is posted on this board. I just need more time to work on it. But i will keep everyone posted that is keep up on the build.

Today i got some time to work on my truck some more. I built a square driveline for it.  Turned out pretty good for my first one. Still need to take it back out and get some paint on it. I'm not sure if i will use grease or use graphite slip plate like we use on the auto transport trucks. i think it will look cleaner and be way less messy.

Grinding it wasnt to bad. Took about 2 hours of straight grinding.

why did it take 2 hours? I did all the grinding on my friends 86 4runner when I was helping him swap in his 60's and to grind down both sides nice and flush it took me like 45 minutes or so. I also went through his cut wheels pretty fast doing it though. The truck looks very nice though, it seems like you are doing good work.  :beerchug:

Its all coming together Anthony! You just need a few more Sundays and you will be enjoying the fruits!    :clap2:

It took me about two hours to grind my frame smooth, most the time was spent changing wheels! And not to mention I used an angle grinder to cut off ALL of the IFS stuff!!

Keep on keepin on.....

Well the time has come to move this thing out of the garage. :clap2:  I got everthing bolted up enough to take it outside and flex the front a little. Still have a bunch of little things to do like fix the pinion angle i pitched it a little to much. :hammer:  I think I'm just going to shim it to get the front down some and when i go duals i will fix it the right way. :_oops:  But with the up coming move to washington this will have to do for now. Here is a few pictures of what my junk looks like outside the cave

Thank you all for the complimentson my truck. I am very happy the way it is turning out. I still have allot of little things to do yet. The major one is fix the pinion angle.  :flamer:  But i wont be happy till i do it right. Then it will go to the exhaust shop to get some new pipe. I am also gathering parts to install duels. Marlin's adapter plate to install duals to an auto will be coming out soon.  :beerchug:

how is that going to work, You have to tear down the entire transmission to get the t-case off. Don't you?

I'm not to sure yet. I have talked to Inchworm on his adapter and he said that you just have to change out the park mechanism. So you have park. I don't think you have to tear the whole thing apart.just remove the bottom pan. But Marlin is making a adapter plate that will be out in another 6 months or so. I'm going to wait and see. I know it will be very strong and he may come up with a better way to install it. This is all new to me so I'm am reading and learning as i go. so in the meantime i am going to gather the parts and build the duals. By then the adapter will be out. If not then i will install a manual.

Not much work on the project lately. Just doing little things here and there. Should be moving up to Washington in the next couple of months. I did get a used Warn 8000. It needs a little work. I also built my reserve air tank and got it mounted in the rear,  Using the spare tire brackets.Other then that not much progress.
