If, your tranny is a g58, then you must have a 4cyl and in that case you have a gear driven t-case. So doing a dual or changing gears is no prob.
If you have a V6 then you have an R150 and then yes with an additional adapter you can convert to a gear driven case with all the same options.
When you go from 33's to 36's you will want to change your r&p too. The t-case gears won't help you on the street, only when you're in low range. 5.29's are just about right for 36's.
Here's a little more info....

Oh no no, I'm pretty sure I've had this talk with Marlin a couple of times as I wanted to upgrade my g58, and was told it's chain driven.  I seem to remember seeing a thread on a g58 recently and he said he was building an adapter to run duals on it.

my truck is a 4 banger but it doesn't have gear driven t-case..........i counted the bolts on the output case and 7 = gear t-case and i had 10 i think.

Chain drive cases only have 5 bolts. You may be counting the wrong bolts. Look at the pictures here.

If your case looks like this one you're ok. The chain drive cases look very differant from the gear drive. (kinda flater on the back)

some 4 bangers come with a g58 tranny which is a chain driven case, there fore you must run a special adapter and gear driven cases for dual cases. my 93 runner has a 22re and a g58. so its hard for me to run dual cases.
