I'm putting G58 trans mission and transfer case in an 83 pickup to replace grenaded l52 (have a nos g58) wondering if I need to do anything special for the vdd like plugging any vaccum ports on the transmission or transfer case? I know that deals with diff but can't find much on how the cdd works from what little I have found I will have manual hub straigh axle set up so the vdd is no concern at all to me and off that's the case I'm wanting to make sure anything that is obsolete can be covered to keep debris out

I know the G58 is "light duty" but I do not off road must the 4x4 would be used would be to get out of a wet muddy yard or snow. My father bought the transmission new in 94 for his truck when bearings start making noise in his original trans but then totaled the truck before ever installing the brand new factory g58
