CHEVY CS 130 ALT.
« on: May 31, 2005, 03:17:19 PM »
I'm wondering if anyone has wired up a cs 130 alt. to their Toyota??  My toy is an 85 with  the 3 wires running to it along with the 10g. wire to the battery.  The Chevy alt. has the large battery post along with PLFS terminals.  Ideas???  :dunno:

I did one on my 93 toyota 4 runner
http://www.cardomain.com/profile/934rnr
on page 7

Here's the pin out's I had with my old alternator it maybe similar.

The bottom sensor wire as you can see is connected right to the output to the battery the other two the red/white wire is the ignition and that is hooked to the red wire on the toyota alternator harness. The other brown wire on top of the CS130 alternator is the alternator light/voltmeter and that is hooked to the yellow wire on the toyota alternator harness.

So the sensor wire from the alt runs right to the battery output then to the battery...correct?  One more question, do your stock dash lights operate as normal?  Mine seem to be charging but wont operate the dash lights properly, but if I install the toy alt everything works fine (but I havent tried your setup yet).

Everything worked fine on mine. I think you can use the sensor wire on your stock harness I decied to simplify it by just running it to the battery wire..

Yeah, the stock location, it has no problem missing the hood even without a body lift.  (it sits on top/drivers side)
