they're not painted yet, wouldn't it be silly showing off some white fenders?

not as cool from the front because my bumper and side lamps aren't on yet

the fender hits the bumper because of the flare, and one of the fenders cured wrong so it's warped, still waiting on a replacement from glassworks.  so until then it's kinda just sitting.

I have always loved prerunners.  I tried to find fiberglass fenders for my LUV but they havent made them for years and years so they are almost impossible to locate.  Anyways, nice truck!

it's nowhere near a prerunner, i wish though

that's what i'm thinkin too.  plus it's convenient to do this all before the bodywork and paint.

the bumper should hide the part of the fender i'm going to have to shave off to clear it.

put it together and drive it.  i don't want to thrash it because i love it to death and have been through a lot with this truck.
the one thing i might like to do is some chevy's in the rear, spring under axle.  tacoma rear springs suck, and i have a set of 2wd 63" chevy springs.  i've never seen this done on a tacoma though, i'm looking for zero lift, just better travel and ride.  anybody have any input on that?

are you goin to try and prerunner/baja it out a little more or keep it fairly mild?

Well I dunno much about the spring under thing... how are the stock springs mounted? If they are also under the axle then it should just be a matter of moving the front leaf hangers and messing with shackles a bit but then again I dont know where that would put your ride height.  I do know that prerunner type trucks try to add weight to the rear of the bed with a spare tire mount and fuel cell to help the springs work a little better and soften the ride.

anybody got input on chevy springs under axle?

do i want 2wd or 4wd springs?  would definitely take out the overload.  don't want to weld on new hangers to this frame without knowing for sure these are going to work right.  i want around stock height just better ride and travel.

i have 2wd 63's
i don't really want to hear "might" and "may not" and "play with it"s, it's a brand new frame.
looking for people who have done it or know people who have, links to buildups with it, etc.

You still got this thing? Change any? Hows the ride with those C/O's and control arms over stock?

Remembered this when i was looking for tacomas. Ended up getting a 98 Green sr5/v6/extended cab/manual/4wd non trd and kinda shooting for how you have yours set up to pretty much just cruise and DD while the Heep takes the beatings.

Still got it. Hasn't changed.  I don't remember how stock rides anymore to be honest, it was years ago I did the front suspension.  I do remember I was impressed with it right after I did it.  Outperforms the rear suspension by miles.

Threw my Krawlers on it one day when I was bored... Looks cool.
