I set mine at 007 and 011, and the noise went away. Steel guides are overrated, and part of a good maintence practice would be changing the chain and guides
around 120 to 150000 anyhow.
I put my thumb on the rockers while it was running to find the noise maker. Be sure to pull out the adjuster screw to check for wear, otherwise you'll never get a true reading.
