Alright guys, finally got some updates. I got rid of the car project, it was taking to much of my money..... so now i can focus on the runner again. I just finished the new x-memeber tonight. I started by bending a piece of 3/8" plate to fit the contour of the bottom of the case where the stock rubber bolts on. I drilled holes in it so it could bolt on, then i built the rest of the member out of some 1/4" wall by 1 1/2" square tube. i sliced it in a few spots so it could bend where needed. i had a pair of weld on shacle mounts with good bushings in them, so i used those as my bushing setup. I welded it all up and sanded it flush. then cut out some stiffener plates out of 1/8" today at work and welded them to the sides of the tube to give the seems even more strength. I think it should hold up pretty well. im thinking about building a skidplate seperate from this x-member to protect the cases. I also got a few more parts for the build! I got one pair of fox 2.0 air shocks from a buddy and i still have to order the other pair. I also picked up a plastic 12 gallon fuel cell off of CL last night. And my axles will be here in about two weeks! I'm getting really stoked to start the suspension build. I think i have enough money to buy my other pair of air shocks and all the DOM tube and rod ends to build everything. i will keep you guys posted..... here are some pics
