Here's the thing... if you set your truck up right you won't need to spin in the mud. I can creep through most of the "big mud holes" around here in 2WD low range. I wouldn't worry about it unless you want to mud race... in that case you don't wan't a Toyota anyhow unless it has a small block in it.
Any dummy can spin in the mud. A well setup truck with good gearing, lockers and a good driver can wheel everything with ease.
