I've looked at the pirate 4x4 thread on ford tanks .
http://pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=484247&page=2I've got a carbed ford tank, it has no vent pipe for one, so i'd have to solder one in, and I've got a chevy pump in my existing con-ferr tank now so i'd have to cut a hole in the ford tank to accept the pump/ring assembly, I don't think it's worth the extra work. I can get the custom tank built for about $150.
just move the filler door assembly tp behind the rear tire, cut a couple inches away from the door on all four sides then match that on the back, use the piece that comes out of the back to fill the hole in the stock location.
I'm thinking about doing that, I guess I'm still wanting to hear somebody tell me I can use the stock fill location without the pump clicking off.....
