I removed mine off my 82 1st gen and my brakes are brutal strong. I am running a 1" bore master and a dual diaphragm booster as well as v6 calipers and vented rotors. I can slam on my brakes and with 35" Mtrs I never even get the rear to brake loose. So just get rid of it.
