brakes (load sensing valve)

can you just by pass it or will that cause the brakes to lock up but i dont understand is there is a perportioning valve just a question dont like not having back brakes happy turkey day

I bypassed mine about 15 years ago when I was running 31's. In a hard braking situation the rear would lock up but when I went to 32's it only locked up when hard braking on wet. now with my 35's in never locks up but stops very nicely.

thanks thats what i wanted to know but cause i just rear ended a women a week ago and the back brakes didnt do anything and i noticed when i put my locker in that i didnt have any fluid coming to the wheel cylinders thanks again

yea,  try tieing the rod that goes down to the axle up against the bottom of the bed this might trick it to think its loaded heavy and send full pressure to the wheels

just zip tie it to the bottom of your bed

i bypassed it completey and put a proportionally valve from summit under the hood in line to my rear brakes

i started messin with it and it started workin so i put it back together and they work now scared me to death it shot brake fluid right over my head made my girl friend laugh tho

If you search the board you'll find several threads on this and even more ways to bypass the valve. I'm cheap cut the rod and tie it up so that it is full pressure to the rears.
