Re: Tranny swap

I had the same problem 2 or 3 years ago. I blew the trans ( W56B ) in my 88 22re truck. I needed help fast, so I called MC and got ahold of Angelo, he assurd me he could get a rebuilt to me within a week. Seven days later it was at my front door, but to my surprise it was a ( W56C 1989-91) I guess I should have said B-BRAVO. So a quick call back to Angelo, and he assures me it will bolt right up as long as I had a foward shift t-case that would fit the charlie model. This is correct. However! you will need to modify the holes in your floor to accomadate the shift sticks for your tranny and t-case.They do not line up quite the same. Not a big deal, some cutting and some sheet metal pop rivited into the floor and I was ready to go, still running fine. Hope this helps.
