Unfortunately it's not as simple as just spending more... Hell, if it were an easy fix, we'd have kids doing it... and they'd be done by now. 
Ya but something tells me it's not as hard to make good/better desicions as they make it out to be. To me it sounds as easy as, "what do I do today, raise taxes or not. Increase spending or not"
