38's should be ok with toyota axles, assuming you stuff the front with long's goodies. Any bigger than 38's and driving style has a HUGE input on wether or not your stuff breaks. Just drive sensibly and you should be ok, especially if you stick with a toyota engine. My opinion is that it is the hi torque V8's that really break schit....
