Zero to built would be fun, but it's also nice to learn to drive the rig at various levels of capability.  I had to work much harder with open diffs and 32s that I do now with locker, gears and larger tires.  Most of the time the rig doesn't even need me.  When a rig is built so well your wife can drive it, it's probably overbuilt, mine is for most of what I do.

Please note that I am making reference to the wives that are not at all interested in the sport and would have no reason, or interest, to know how to drive off road.
1989 4Runner: Dual Ultimate (Inchworm front & Marlin 4.70 rear), Marlin Twin Stick, 1200-lb clutch, 4.88 R&P, Aussie Front, Detroit rear, 30-spline Longs, Long hub gears, ARP hub and knuckle studs & 35x12.50 Cooper STT PRO tires.  Marlin rear bumper & sliders.  FROR front bumper.  SAS with Alcan springs & Rancho 9000XL shocks.  Budbuilt Bolt-on traction bar.  Custom Interior Cage by Those Guys Rod and Customs.
