I put in new( re-manufactured, good quality) calipers and wow - what a difference over the 10+ year old ones that were on it.
If yours are over ten years old or in bad shape, just toss them and get one ones. I dropped 50+ feet off of my stopping times from 60mph/getting off the freeway. Well worth it, considering I don't have ABS like all the cars in front of me.
