brake problems
« on: Apr 29, 2006, 09:22:20 PM »
My brake pedal sinks to the floor.  If I pump the brakes it holds pressure fairly well.  when I release the brake and press it again while driving, it sinks to the floor again.  I bled the Master cylinder on the sami, and bled the brakes according to the manual, and I still have the prob.  I bought a used MC and installed and still have the problem.  Unless I didn't bleed enough I'm thinking it's another bad master cylinder.... Imput?

You sould try unbolting your master from your brake booster and see if it is all wet with brake fluid. If thats the problem then its a bad master cylinder.

have you used a brake bleeder... its for when you have to do it by your self. They work pretty good... has the truck bin sitting for awhile?
I'd like to quit thinking of the present as some minor insignificant preamble to something else~~~~~

Make sure your rear brakes are adjusted, sometimes they can get far enough out to do what you are describing. (assuming the rear are drums)
