Negative. I know my lockright engages under any cituation as soon as you put power to it. I think the detroits do as well. Some people claim that the detroit is smoother around corners.  :dunno: My friend has one in his V6 daily driver (don't know why he got it) But i rode with him a couple times and didn't notice much, at least an extra $200 worth. People claim that they can hear the lockright lock and unlock, but i still haven't herd a thing.   :biggthumpup: :twocents:
