Negative. I know my lockright engages under any cituation as soon as you put power to it. I think the detroits do as well. Some people claim that the detroit is smoother around corners.
My friend has one in his V6 daily driver (don't know why he got it) But i rode with him a couple times and didn't notice much, at least an extra $200 worth. People claim that they can hear the lockright lock and unlock, but i still haven't herd a thing.
