OK, just did some reading...
Sorry Mark, not gonna tank this block right now, want to get engine running.

What I seem to be picking up is that higher milleage engines with low oil pressure issues can benefit from a heavier wight oil...20-30wt seems to be the consensus.

Stay away from Penzoil, Kendall

Good ones: Synthetics (Mobile 1), Valvoline, Castrol, Havoline...

There is also the trick of using a quart of ATF with an oil change and running that for bout 500 miles and changing again.
Not sure that I wanna be changing the erl that much...methinks I will see how things look in the pan and try some 20wt dino juice.  Clean up the screen and check passages as well.
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5
