On the tire thing, one of mine had a slow leak (0 psi that got lower with lower elevation). Best thing to do, wrap a ratchet strap from your frame around your axle to lessen the amount of lift needed from the jack. I carry a 4x12x about 18" chunk of wood for jacking in the really deep stuff. Wrap a strap around the tire and add air.
