It'll be cool to see Dale in that monster again. That thing is a tank in the snow.

Yeah.. he hauled my ass up a steep ole hill one year in my heep that we couldn't get up. What a ride!!!! sometimes he does really well.... sometimes not. But we always have fun

I just remember @ the innaugural (first year with a name) "Squirrel's Rebel Snow Run" hearing that motor screaming and looking off the left to see this behemoth of a Chevy blasting over V-Rock. (Beavis and Butthead) It was pretty cool huh huh.  :rockingout:

Dale is fun to watch!!!  Two weeks ago, down in the creek there was a tree that had fallen down that we were all bypassing.... Buddy fell in the creek in his Runner. While we were winching him out we heard Dale's typical roar follwed by a loud crack. Dale had tied a strap to the middle of the tree and hit it as only a rig like Dale's could... tree go bye bye!!!

Also, to those who are working on their rigs, my Front Range Crossmember broke sometime during the last 2 months and I just found out about it on Friday. It was not the FROR part that broke, it was my tubing. A support leg that runs to the passengers side frame rail just sheared in half. It was a DOM 1.5" tubing, but I think the wall thickness is too thin. Also before I left to Japan, my muffler was falling off because I have only have one support on my exhaust system for two years now, and with all the vibration, the weight of the muffler tore the exhaust pipe in half. So this weekend I was pretty busy, plus I did some more work on Bevin's rig and we are ready to get it smoged now.
So I fixed the exhaust, fixed the crossmember, and tonight or tomorrow night I am going to be doing some more work to my rig getting it ready.

So you guys are not the only ones busting your arse to get your rig ready, so just do it, and reward your hard work with a Bald Mtn Snow Run!! :_order:

Been wrenching all weekend and will be every night this week. In need of an inspection cover for my bellhousing, can't wheel in the snow with my clutch exposed and the damn inspection cover for the cast iron sm465 is a pain to come by. All local wrecking yards didn't have one :rivers: . If it snows i'm also screwed 2wd dually no chains, so hopefully for saturday it doesn't snow just thursday and friday :crossed: . We'll see working my  :moon:  off trying to get it going. I'll know by friday.

Been wheeling 15 years with no inspection cover. You don't need it. Snow, ice in water, mud, well not too much mud.

Don't worry about the snow too much. There is only a 20% chance... that's what they were saying on the news today anyway.

we shall see got my windsheild wipers working today, thought i may need those. Exhaust done. Pickup driveshaft tomarrow. Wrap all wires in wire loom since i just rewired. Should be good to go i think, I like the mudflap idea just something to cover the bottom half of my clutch i think would be good.

All this wrenching is getting tiring, i need time off work to rest and work on the FJ

Or course. It has a rear locker, a small lift, 32's, and some armor.

BigMike

Hey TURBO, I'll help you mount the shocks Thursday night. I need to finish the welds on my crossmember and get a couple electrical devices installed.

I updates the list, we're up to 20 now! holy cow man
