I think it's a neat little truck.  It's competition will be the xterra and liberty and will be priced accordingly.  With the rear locker it's certainly more capable than a stock 1st or 2nd gen 4runner and equivelant truck and possibly more capable than a stock fj40 (assuming you have the stomach for body damage). 

Now if you're talking toughness, sure, the FJ40 is way tougher than the fjcruiser.
