The stock Tacoma batteries are terrible, I think it's just the trucks that came with the tow package. Idk if the higher alternator output makes them die quicker or what. I'm on my 3rd battery on my 16 and my roommate is on his 4th on his 14. Luckily Toyota is nice about warranting them.
