Not an L43 or L series as the top forward section isn't flat.

If the center-forward case is iron, it could be a W50

Do a google image search on 'w50 transmission' and you'll get pictures that look like yours.


If you rebuild it, make sure that the L shaped lever from the stick to the internals in the rear upper housing is machined from one piece of metal rather than 2 pieces welded together.    (weld broke on my sisters 76 corona with W50)
