I am working on inserting a 5VZ-FE 1995+ 3.4litre onto a 1985 frame. My first discovery was the Bell housing, thus the output shaft was 1 inch and a smige longer than the pre 95 3,0 litre 3VZ-FE. I solved this problem by mating the first inch (I have the exact measurement but it's easy to figure out) from the deeper 3.4litre Bell housing to the complete 3.0 litre bell. I bored out the alignement dowels and inserted longer ones through both pieces for exact alignement. Presto, and now my clutch slave resides on the passenger side where it needs to be. Hope this helps
