I wish it was a 2jz but its only a 7mgte, Umm what else im gonna be running the r150 via a custom bellhousing that should be here anyday, custom intercooler piping and a turbo xs rfl blow off valve, i haven't decided for lockers yet but I want arb or elocker for front and an aussie in the back.
v6 4.56 gears...I found a good box im gonna go pick up next week, (rust free boxs are really hard to find in canada) I haven't decided yet but im pretty sure im gonna bobb it about a foot. Ya and some tube sliders and bumpers and a winch, thats the plan for now....This week is tcase building time.

I am defiantly going to follow this build, it's good to see a planned approach to a build and you must live alone because many a wife would not allow parts in the house.  :shakehead: DanS
Wow, been looking at my 4Runner rust away too long, need some inspiration and here I will find it...!

85 Toyota 4Runner, solid axle, 22Re, original paint and graphics and not a straight panel to be found!

I'll deffinetly keep the stock paint, the paint on the cab is still good, all original, but the box
was re done and was rusting out again which is why im getting a new one.

im 20 years old and live at home and suprisingly my mom didn't put up a stink about the parts
in my room, I also have my 5 iroks standing up in my room hehe its stinks like rubber and
I love it!

ben_teq

Well I picked up a rust free box this morning and Im gonna bob it the only problem is im not
sure how much I should take off anyone have pictures and roughly what was removed on 1st gen trucks?

ben_teq

Well after waiting a long time on my bellhousing it finally came I i was aible to put some hours in on the truck along with the help of "fj-rankenstein" we got the drivetrain mounted, next task is the floor which will be done very similar to "extend-a-toy". And no thats not my official cross member it was used to hold the tcase in place.

Well a few more things I got motor mounts done, t case cross member done and the floor hacked apart some more this coming week I hope to finish the driver side rocker panel. The plan is to put a simple 4" flat bar backing plate on the inside of the rocker and build off of that.
