LILBUDDY's 89 Build (Built a bumper 5/17/09)
« on: Jan 16, 2009, 10:27:01 PM »
Got another new truck. Traded the 2002 taco for an audi a4 thats fully loaded and also got 2800 dollars cash. Looked around on here and found a truck i liked and picked up this truck from Stooges4x4. Hes a really cool guy and he got it from his buddy who sas'd it in Arizona. Yeah i know i got yet another built truck but its chill, ill eventually build something myself that ill actually regret gettign rid of if i ever did (like my 4runner)

anyway the truck is hella clean and in damn good condition. just needs a lot of little things done to it that ill get done here pretty soon. its still registered in AZ so i gotta get it smog legal in CA (oh yay)

s.s. brake line

random:
pioneer cd player and speakers
prelude seats

nice high angle driveline
brand new battery

like i said it definitely will take a few weeks to get it legit but i just wanna work on geting it regiestered and smogged and get some mudflaps on it so its not a CHP target and then take it up wheelin.

Heres the only pic of it i have. Ill get new pics of it hopefully sunady.

No it has that stupid ass chain driven case.

Same thing came in the 2nd gen 4runners (or at least some) with a 22re and 5spd.

If you really want me to prove it to you, i will take pictures, but its a chain driven case.

If it's a 5spd 4cyl with a chain driven T-case, then it's a 26 spline g58, right?

Chris, thats a cool truck. I like it, what are the plans for it?

I totally forgot about plans...

Rework the front springs (take out leaves), move the rear shackle hanger forward a few inches, plate the frame and move steering box forward, dual stock cases, sky manufacturing skidplate, custom front bumper, custom sliders, a 3x5 (maybe just 2x4) rear bumper with some d rings, rock lights and thast really it for now.

hoping to have that done by hammers (end of april) cause I want to drive it down there and wheel.

My last truck was the only truck ive painted and thats because the clearcoat was gone and everytime i washed the truck the paint faded even more.

The paint on it is totally legit. i may go to town one of these days and wax it.

Same with my Audi, that needs waxed too.

Looking forward to seeing you get her up and wheeling man. Building/wheeling/breaking 3 rigs just wasn't working for me, and I'm glad this thing went to you and not some jerk off! (Or even worse chillin with a tarp over it.) Keep up the thread!  :beerchug:

Oh and BTW dude I bought the rig from said the dude he bought the rig from swapped the tranny/tcase from another Toy. Yes, it happens people, lets learn how to count the bolts on the rear portion of the case...

In the pictures you will notice there is no steering column. Well the tip of the key somehow broke in the ignition and i was drilling ti out and hitting it with a screwdriver and the back of the lock broke out so i need a whole new column. Goose is totally hooking me up with a new one though and new door locks since the key doesnt work. Hella stoked.

Pics...

And then to my DD. Its a 1996 Audi A4, 2.8L V6, 5spd, all wheel drive, fully loaded, heated seats, power everything, moonroof and with that gay stereo i got my subs hooked up in it also.
