btw what size wheel are though on.  they look like 17's but how wide and what ths b/s on them

Those are 16x10s w/ 4" BS.  If I end up with 42 Iroks, I'll be running them on 17x9.5 w/ 5.5" BS.

H2s, yes.  But not those above.  I have a set in the garage with a little OMF bling on the outer bead.   :eyebrow:

ahh you did what I've been thinking of.  I just didn't know if I could get beadlocks on those wheels.  You just answered my question.  I can't believe how cheap you can get those wheels.  People are telling me though that I'm just going to be rubbing my hubs on every rock though I get near with those wheels.  What do you think???

btw how much did they ding you for putting those on?

I had mine mounted to the outside of the wheel lip instead of having OMF machine them off.  That adds an inch to the wheel width.  That additional inch, plus the width of the 42 Irok, leaves me fully unconcerned about the hubs.  They'll be fine.

OMFs kits were retailing for 185 each IIRC plus installation.  In hindsight, they were not really significantly less than a set of Walker Evans wheels.

In this pic you can see the dial housing part of the hub just peeking out.  The wider wheel and tire will eclipse the hub, no problem.

what did you total come out to then with the beadlocks and the initial cost of the wheel, if you don't mind me asking?

Update:  My front 60 wraps my 51" leaf packs so bad, I can spit out my High Angle Driveline long slip shaft in the mall if I hit the brakes hard enough in reverse.  So, I need a solution.  Here is what I'm going to do about it...

Links are simple top-links for a tractor implement I got at TSC.  The cheapy heims are 3/4 hole and gi-normous shanks.  I got the radiused link brackets from diy4x, and I sourced the shackle from an old Daystar I had left in a pile.  The top of the shackle will attach to a poly bushing on a removable x-member I'll run somewhere under the tranny.

I first discovered the the prolem on the trail.

But in all honesty, I actcually did seperate the shaft a second time hitting the brake hard in reverse on flat pavement.

are you sure you just dont have enough down travel in your shaft?  I could do that before I extended my driveshaft so it had enough travel and I don't get any wrap
