I have been reading the 3rz swap thread for the last few years and taking it all in so my swap would go easy. Finally got started but have ran into some issues.

Got a 96 3rz. Ordered mounts from chilkat, pan and all that stuff. Got it all together. Sat in truck last night. Engine is 9-10° to the passenger side. Have 3/8" of spacers in it and still at 6°.

When ordering I talked to Alex about all the people having issues with it leaning and he said he had heard from some people but none 2 very really gave him any feedback. I'll call him in a few hours when he gets the shop fired up. I hope I can work with him enough that no one else ends up having to modify their mounts when they get them.

The next issue. I have noticed most of you guys running them have a body lift. I do not, the firewall is 1/2" from touching the wiring harness where it goes behind the head. The wires running to the rear temp sensor are touching firewalll. Is anyone else this close? It is too close. No way I can run it like this. I'm not doing a body lift. I guess I'll have to cut up the mounts and move it forward.

Still have to ramble more to be able to post pictures of the issue

Also this truck was a 2wd to begin with, not that it changes the firewall or engine mount location

Take it for what is worth. For what reason does anyone get on a technical discussion forum other than for technical assistance? I'm nowhere near the west coast so chances of wheeling with anyone is slim to none.
