Introduction
« on: May 12, 2015, 10:45:45 AM »
Hello Everyone,

Here's the story of my truck.

It is a 2000 4runner. It has been modified with the following mods:
Front solid axle swap using a 80 series land cruiser front axle and springs.
Factory 4.10 gears where replaced with G2 Brand 4.56 gears.
All custom fab for shocks and springs.
Bilstein long travel 5100 series shocks in front
ARB Air lockers Front and Rear
On board air compressor with air storage tank.
Rear suspension is Old Man EMU Shocks and springs,
Marlin Crawler Crawl Box
Baja roof rack
Custom front bumper with accessory air hose and 9000lb Super winch with Amstell Blue synthetic winch line.
Custom rear bumper with tire carrier
Prodigy electric brake system hard wired into the rear bumper.

The original owner was a Toyota Tech. I came by this truck in a trade. My oldest son needed a vehicle to take to college so I gave him my Dakota and traded my '79 Trans Am even up. The longer I have this truck, the more I feel like I got the better deal. I was not really a wheeler before but the kids and I love this truck. They have named it "Shamus".

I'm from Florida but I live most of the year in Western MASS and belong to a club but have not been able to go on any trail rides. Always have had a conflict with coaching on the weekends.

Will post some pics when I'm able.

Thanks for reading...

tony

80 front axle is same track width of a 4 runner?  I did not know that.
