popping out of first

Help with 95 4runner sr5 v6 5 speed popping out of first
I replaced the shifter lever seat and bushing but it still pops out of first when I take off

sounds like bad synchros  :thumbdown:

Drive it with the interior boots removed (so you can see tranny) and listen for awful noises........

Other than what has already been mentioned, does it have a body lift? The lower shift location will cause the boot to pull it out of gear.
