Dual adapter identification question
« on: Dec 24, 2014, 05:32:11 PM »
Trying to figure out which adapter I have. Casting numbers on drivers side of adapter read 515905. On passenger side Marlin AA Crawler cast into adapter. Wondering where serial # located also?  Any info would be great. Thanks.

Sounds like it's a regular MC07 type adapter. That particular one is called an advanced adapters model. (That's the company that casted those for MC at one point)

I have the same one, same numbers, on my truck and wondered the same thing. Is this a good adapter?

I was hoping the 05 in casting didn't designate MC 05. (was going to sell if it was) I think MC07 is good news? https://www.marlincrawler.com/docs/mc07/index.htm

edit: Had another look and it sure looks like pic of MC05. I'm going by contour of forward flange lower right of adapter where "marlin A A crawler letters are cast in?

Where would I look for a serial#?

Where would I look for a serial#?

I asked this in another thread and never got an answer.

Thanks. If correct your linked page answered my original question. 350 mc 05's left in existence out of 4000 adapters made and I end up with one. :hammerhead: haha Not sure how much worse etc? If in truck I would probably use but always be wondering about possible failure in middle of nowhere=tow bill or vandalism/theft.  My duals are in storage now, for the price I will order the newer style adapter.
