dual case adapter question
« on: Feb 05, 2014, 01:02:03 PM »
I'm interested in getting the dual case adapter, but have a few questions before I order.

1.The option of the spline count (21 or 23); If i chose the 23 count, what else do i need? I have 2 top shift cases.

2.Whats the strength difference between the 2?

3.What rotation have most used? 0 or 10 degree, pro's and con's of each.

Thanks,
goth

1. 23 spline requires rear case 21 spline input to be changed to a marlin 23 spline input. as well as the 23 spline adapter.

2. strength difference is substantial. 23 spline is strongly recommended when using 4.70

3. 10* more clearance. stock, better driveline angle. i went with stock.

did i get that all right?

^All true, but I did 10* had issues getting the right front cv modified to get the droop I wanted. But I got the ground clr I wanted. Trade offs no wrong way on rotation, just a choice.

thanks for your replies!

So if I go with the 23 spline adapter, I wouldn't need to upgrade the front box or the tranny input/output? or is this another option.

thats correct, no need to mess with the transmission or front crawl box.
