crush sleeve or solid spacer
« on: Dec 08, 2014, 01:20:24 PM »
I ordered an assembled high-pinion third with an ARB locker from Marlin. Will they put this pinion together with a crush sleeve or solid spacer? I've heard solid spacer are better...

Better and easier to set up.

The solid sleeve will hold it's length longer than a crush sleeve. The crush sleeves can collapse over time.

I would assume  :turtle: only uses solid spacers. If it was me I would have cleared that up before ordering.
I tossed  out 10-15 crush sleeves I had laying around. I didnt even want other people using those things. Oh and congrats on the purchase  :smokin:

Thanks mudmaster. I looked online, but could only find a reference to the seals etc and a general reference to best quality parts.   I'm stoked to have a strong front axle going in. Even more stoked to have a selectable locker up front. My spartan up front was so damn harsh and unhelpful at times.
