Is this an origonal crush sleeve?

It looks pretty strong for stock, it came out of a 1982 Pick-up.

100% that stock third had some gear work done at some time. I am not aware of the factory using them. I have new uncrushed sleaves I can trade you for that. but I would get some shimms and use it if it were me.

I will be using it, since I am assuming it is like a solid crush sleeve... The only problem is that I need one for my v6 3rd too.

yup   just tear apart the diffs and get the stock shims.. yer v6 diff will take a few more than a 4cyl will  due to the different pinion bearings

yeap  pretty much all diffs from 84 and down that ive seen ( mixed 85s some had solid spacers some had crush sleeves)  had solid spacers unless they had been messed with. and usually they stick the solid spacer back in.

Yes that is indeed a 4cyl stock sleeve, solid axle era. But i thought the sizes between the 4cyl and 6cyl sleeve are different. If you wan't to go with a sleeve on a 6cyl diff don't you have to get a aftermarket sleeve?

My brain is on overload wanting to build a T4 solid axle with a 3.4.

IronClad

no v6 diff came with a solid sleeve.  You dont have to go aftermarket to run a solid sleeve in a v6 diff BUT you have to run alot more shims for it to work. so it would be better to go aftermarket BUT it will work.
